UPCOMING DATES
PARENT MEETING
7th and 8th Grade:
Tuesday, August 16th, 2022
6th Grade:
Thursday, August 18th, 2022.
We will discuss grading, practice procedures, acquiring instruments, and possibly trip information for April 2023 to Dollywood.
Meetings will start at 6pm in the auditorium. Parents and band student must attend the meeting. Contact Mr. Simpson is there is conflict. Email: simpsonp@rcschools.net

PEP BAND GAMES (Football)
(Tuesdays @ LaVergne High School):
Game 1: 8/23/22
Game 2:8/30/22
Game 3: 9/13/22
Game 4: 10/11/22
All games are on Tuesdays @ LHS.
Students report back to the band room by 4:30. The bus will depart at 5:15.
Parents need to report to LaVergne High School by 8pm for pickup. Please note we will not dismiss students until the game is over, they have racked the music stands, and cleaned our section. Games can and do run beyond 8pm.
IMPORTANT DATES
6th Grade Students 2022:
Friday, September 2nd - instrument placements go home.
Friday, September 9th - rental night
Friday, September 10th - Jump Start Day - 9am - 12pm.
Winter Concert 7th and 8th Grade:
Tuesday, December 7th and 2022 - 7th and 8th grade students @ 5pm. Concert dress: Band jacket and t-shirt, khaki pants.
Winter Concert: 6th Grade, Jazz, and Choir:
Wednesday, December 8th, 2022 @ 5pm. Concert attire for 6th grade: band shirt tucked with khaki pants and belt.
All concerts will be at LMS in the auditorium and are free.
